A Boy and His Dog...

This boy loves his dog at a level it's hard to understand. When he goes to Grandma LeeAnn's for a few days, he calls home and wants me to hold the phone by Harley so he can "talk" to him. Harley doesn't seem to get it. I hope Eli has a long and fulfilling relationship with his dog. We've made it clear we're a one dog family- Harley is it. Once he's gone, there will be no replacement. The boys love having a dog, but one they're older and out of the house, Scott and I want the freedom to go when and wherever we want without having to worry about a dogsitter. Since we're only having one dog, Harley has been a good pick. Other than barking like crazy at the UPS delivery man and being way too excited when family come over to visit.

Private Jet and Ginormous Cinnamon Rolls...

SkyWest needed to ferry an empty jet to San Antonio, so Scott make a few phone calls and got approval for Oakley and I to join him on the trip. It's as close as we'll get to ever having a private jet. We were able to tour the Alamo, which Oakley the history buff extraordinaire really loved, enjoy strolling the River Walkway, which Oakley also impressed us with his knowledge of the history of how and when it was built, and enjoyed the most unbelievably huge cinnamon rolls at Lulu's.
