Leap and Learn Finale...

And so it is that the Beeson's have officially graduated from the pre-school experience.  Asher spent two fabulous years with Miss Shaneen at Leap and Learn Pre-school and we know he is definitely ready for his
kindergarten experience.

Best Friends in Oceanside...

Asher and I were able to meet Tana and Maxx in Oceanside for a few days for all kinds of fun.  Whenever anyone asks Asher who his best friend is, his response is always Maxx.  Unfortunately with Maxx and Tana living in Toquerville (2 hours away) we don't see them near enough.  We were definitely looking forward to this trip!  Tana had a friend whose parents owned a condo right down on the beach and we were supposed to be able to stay free of charge (which ended up becoming a hastle once we actually showed up.  But that is another story...)

The boys LOVED the beach and were content to throw rocks into the ocean for a very long time, which gave Tana and I time to talk.
Asher told me he was trying to skip rocks in the ocean.
He is definitely boy from a land-locked state!
We took the boys for a day at Legoland, which was definitely a hit with both of them.  Although in my opinion Legoland is a bit run down and not all that exciting, to a five-year-old it is spectacular and comparable to Disneyland.  Great for us because it was much less expensive and Tana had found a great deal on tickets for us also.

After taking a driving test...
...Asher and Maxx each earned their Legoland Driver's License.
Looking good in our 3D glasses waiting for the movie to start.

The next day we went to Sea World.  It had been a long time since I'd been there and it was definitely a lot bigger with a lot more to do.  Asher is definitely his mother's son.  Maxx is definitely all boy who loves all things super hero and likes all of his toys to make sound effects.  By the third day of the trip, Asher was heard saying, "I need some privacy."  That was his most polite way of saying he needed a break from all of the sound effects and super hero play.  Just like his Mom, as much as he loves his friends and playing, he needs his quiet alone time, too.  His choice of words did crack me up, though.

Asher thought he needed to buy every stuffed animal that he saw and there
were a lot of stuffed animals for sale!  They were all way overpriced, so I told
him I would take his picture with them then he could always remember them.
Thankfully, he went for the idea.

A fun trip with fun friends!  Although the "free condo" ended up causing some stress for Tana at the end and she had to do some cleaning at the condo to make the owner happy, happy memories for all!

They Know Their Mama...

Mother's Day 2012 proved that the Beeson Boys know their Mama.  The day started with the opening of gifts which included books (chosen from the book shelf) and candy (taken from cupboard) and wrapped themselves.  These boys know that reading and candy are Mom's favorite things.

Eli caught a lady bug and put it on top of a decorated cup as a gift.
The Mother's Day fun continued with a trail of flowers leading out to the motor home...

...with these notes taped to the door with very explicit instructions that the motor home was Mom's "quiet station" for the day and she was not to be disturbed under any circumstances!

Inside were books to be read...

...a bucket of ice and a selection of beverages...
...and more warning notes that only Mom could consume the beverages...

... and a note on the bed inviting me to take a nap if I would like to.
All of the threats and warnings must not have been too scary as Mom's Quiet Station was filled with three non-Mom's, but who gave Mom a reason to celebrate Mother's Day.
